Severn Bridge Road Race

Yanto Barker Attacks at the base of the Climb

The Severn Bridge road race made use of a circuit of 10 laps (100km) through Stowey Hill, Clutton and Chelwood roundabout.

This was a very challenging circuit and involved 10 ascents of Stowey Hill which is an average of 7% for 1km.

A small lead group soon formed and from that Eddie Dunbar (NFTO), George Harper (ONE Pro Cycling) and Yanto Barker (ONE Pro Cycling) began the last lap with Will Bjergfelt (Sportgrub KUOTA Cycling)

The last lap saw Yanto Barker attack at the base of the climb and force the pace before Eddie Dunbar went over the top with George Harper on his wheel! Barker and Harper were not going to shake the young Irishman and it came to a sprint at the foot of the climb where Harper triumphed from Barker and Dunbar.

Yanto Barker is the Founder of Le Col which supplies the Cycling Clothing for the One Pro Cycling Team.
