Tour Series Finale | Le Col Cycling
Last night saw the final round of the 2015 Tour Series and the conclusion to the overall standings won by Madison Genesis after a tough battle right to the end with ONE Pro Cycling. Marcin road strong and came away with another individual win in the series.
It's been an interesting series this year, with a change to regulations meaning all 5 riders in each team counted towards the overall time on the night and rankings at the end of each round there was always the risk issues would effect the standings as opposed to performance. All teams had problems but it's never nice when a final result is the outcome of crashes bad luck or punctures.
As a team we take the rough with the smooth because that's how sport works. If we take a look back at the positives over the last 5 weeks. 7 overall rounds won by the team 5 individual round wins and 2 fastest laps. The challenging moments were my personal 4 crashes at Redditch, Aberystwyth and Bath along with George Harpers Crash at Redditch and Durham and a number of punctures. We remain positive and are very much looking forward to the the next part of the season.
The atmosphere in the team remains positive. As it has been said, 'we win together we lose together but always together'! Or a quote from Dexter Gardias, 'some days you catch fish, other days you mend the nets'.
