Product description

Le Col's fastest bib shorts, the Pro Bib Shorts have been developed and proven at the highest level. Using a lycra sport fibre for a metered, supportive fit, these shorts are breathable and versatile in wide temperature ranges.

Cut for racing, these shorts offer an aerodynamic profile, whilst mesh bib straps and low-key blackout silicone leg grippers hold them steadfastly in place.

Using the Pro Dolomiti Chamois for a trim outline and a core comfort, this thinner pad has a highly effective silicone treatment, providing comfort and removing excess bulk.

Finished with embroidered logos, these shorts are for the fastest rides going.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bib Shorts! I used these bib shorts for the first time on a 102.5 mi ride and they performed flawlessly. They only reason I have given them 4 stars is because the cut on the front is very high. Nature breaks with these things on is a bit of a hassle. The padding is glorious and the quality of the product is top notch. I am 6 ft 180 lbs and ordered the medium. The medium bib short gives me a slight compression fit and I could not have gone any smaller on the size. I"m too chicken to try the large because I don"t want to have to send them back. I love them. I just ordered another pair of the HC Heritage shorts (which look to be a little lower cut in the front).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost great So far 3 rides, ~200km on them and they are almost great. Pros: - pad is great - fabric is pretty good, breathes well, seems like they"ll be good in summer Cons: - fit is awkward. I am 6"3"", 205lb and bought XL. The straps are a bit tight so I could not use a large but the belly and legs are a bit loose. - leg grippers inadequate (maybe because not tight enough) so they ride up a lot with knee warmers. Tolerable on bare legs - front part of shorts come up almost to my bottom rib. No pulling them down to take a pee So all in all I still like them and will wear them out, but they fall short of my favorites (Assos)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the design, struggle with sizing and thigh gripper Design - simple, and exactly what I was after. Sizing - As made in Italy, was always told to buy one size larger. Got the L, and they are typical Italian XL to XXL. I then purchased a second pair, but this time M, and they are on the largish side too, with the thigh gripper not amazingly sticky. I normally wear Castelli L, so was surprised at the loose fit. I feel I"d need a S in Le Col to match the fit of the Castelli L. So basically have two unusable BIB"s now.... Thigh gripper - could be sticker, but likely also a function of sizing. So, great design, but beware of sizing if you normally wear other Italian made clothing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely Impressed Apprehensive to order from an unfamiliar company, but glad I did. Took advantage of a double discount and decided to treat myself to some rather expensive riding shorts. First wear was an hour on the trainer. The chamois has more padding than my other shorts, but proved to be comfortable throughout the hour. Second time wearing the shorts was for a 110 mile ride. The second I first sat on my saddle I knew I had on the right shorts. These shorts provided the same comfort at the beginning of the ride that they did at the end. Hands down the best riding shorts I have ever worn and will consider paying full price for another pair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pro Blackout Bib Shorts The shorts are quality and the fit is great with slightly longer legs which I like as they give you a slight compression on your thighs so make cycling longer distances very comfortable. Talking of comfort the pad is probably one of the best I’ve ridden . Have completed a few 100km rides with these shorts in the week I’ve owned them. They are in the expensive category but if they last and continue to be as comfortable then the money will be well spent. I have had Castelli and Assos shorts and would say these are definitely in the same category maybe even better Wanted to give 5* but as only owned for a week I feel I need to see if they last as well as other shorts have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything they promised . This was my first experiance with the Le Col product, i was looking for something different than everybody else is wearing. These days i don"t purchase lightly, as we all know quality kit is expensive and usually when you find a label you are happy with you stick with it. So i purchased the Pro Blackout Bib Shorts, and they are everything that was promised in the description , beautifully made and oh so comfortable, and they look very cool, the transaction was super easy and delivery was fast and efficient , communication from Le Col was brilliant. Excellent work Le Col keep it up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great quality but sadly too long (for me) As expected the quality was superb and the pad looked like it was of a high standard and on a par with the big boys out there. Sadly the length of the bibs was way too long for me. I know the current trend is a long leg, but I’m sure past the knees isn’t going to give me the Pro look! I’m 171cm tall (5 foot 7) with a 76cm inseam (30 inches) and a 73 ish waist (28/29 inches) so the XS should be on point as with the other bibs I wear from the R brand, but the Le Col’s were just not happening for me. I’m a wee bit gutted because they look damn cool in all black. Sad times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good fit - like the wide grip look On the advice of the ever-helpful James, I went with a medium (as such is my middle sized) instead of a large (the rest of my body being suchly stretched), and this proved to be the right decision - while the straps are perhaps a mite tight while standing straight, when I"m on the bike, it"s a perfect fit. The legs don"t grip too tightly, but because they"re wide, they hold pretty well. The pad is a revelation - thick & perfect. I"ve only done a single 60 mile ride, but I"m looking forward to my longer Audax rides without concerns about my nethers.
