BORA – hansgrohe took the mantel in the mountains, getting two riders in the breakaway on Stage 7. Lennard Kaemna of BORA – hansgrohe was unfortunate to not win the stage. He was caught within the last 20 metres on the final climb, a heart-breaking finish to the day. A weekend in the mountains followed with Stage 9 finishing at the popular ski resort of Les Portes du Soleil.
