Le Col has partnered with the Ribble Outliers, a gravel racing team born to disrupt the norm.

This isn’t just a team chasing podiums. It’s a squad built around chaos, resilience, and the thrill of discovering what’s possible on two wheels.With a roster of six riders including former WorldTour pros Sophie Wright and Harry Tanfield, the Outliers are taking on the toughest gravel races on the calendar. From seasoned gravel pros to road-racing converts, this diverse team reflects the very spirit of gravel: unpredictable, evolving, and brutally honest.

For Le Col, the partnership is about more than just exposure. It’s about testing our kit at the edge of performance, across terrain and conditions where compromise isn’t an option. The Ribble Outliers race in apparel developed and proven in the WorldTour, delivered by our Custom Division and training in the ARC Gravel Collection delivering valuable feedback and helping innovation that will inform future season collections.

Season So Far – Highlights Recap

Dirty Reiver – Dominance from Day One

The Outliers exploded onto the scene with a commanding performance at Dirty Reiver. Metheven Bond and Jenson Young crossed the line together, 1st and 2nd, 15 minutes ahead of the field. Sophie Wright claimed the women’s victory in what was her longest race to date – a sign of things to come.

Traka – Holding Strong at Europe’s Toughest

At Traka, the biggest gravel race in Europe, the Outliers held their own. Sophie landed a top 10 in the Women’s 200, and Ben Thomas rode with the front group to finish 22nd in the men’s. Metheven Bond and Jenson Young fought through mechanicals and monster distances to complete their longest gravel efforts yet.

Lincoln GP – Proving Versatility on the Road

Swapping gravel for tarmac, the team showed its depth at Lincoln GP. Sophie claimed the QOM prize and finished 17th, while Harry rode aggressively before fading late to finish 15th,  an impressive result against a stacked road field.

The Gralloch – UCI Podiums Achieved

At the UK's premier UCI gravel event, Sophie Wright delivered her best yet, taking 3rd place and the team’s first UCI podium. Ben Thomas finished 4th after animating the front of the race, and strong top-25 results from Harry and Metheven underlined the squad’s growing consistency. Tom Couzens took a category win to cap off a stellar team showing.

Unbound – Grit at the World’s Hardest Gravel Race

At Unbound, where the course is brutal and the field is world-class, the Outliers showed real composure. Jenson and Ben rode in the mix all day to take 28th and 29th. Sophie finished 21st overall, conquering her longest ride ever by more than 125km, a major leap forward. Metheven showed serious staying power to finish 53rd after over 9 hours in the saddle.

Gravel Suisse – Sophie Wright Takes UCI Victory

Sophie Wright has claimed her first UCI Gravel World Series win – and the Ribble Outliers’ first UCI gold with a commanding solo victory at Gravel Suisse, one of the toughest races on the calendar.

Covering 100km and 3,300m of elevation, the route finishes atop the Col de la Croix, a summit that tests far more than just fitness. With steep gravel ramps, high alpine altitude, and relentless gradients, it’s a course that demands precision, patience, and resilience.

Sophie executed the race perfectly. Calm through the neutral rollout at UCI HQ, she moved into fourth by Feed 2, and then second by Feed 3. On the final 30% gradient gravel climb, she made her move, riding where others walked, powering past the leader, and crossing the line over seven minutes clear.

It’s a standout performance in a landmark season. And it marks another step forward in Sophie’s rapid rise through the gravel ranks.

Looking Ahead

With momentum building, the team now sets its sights on UCI Gravel Singen in Germany.
