I’ve raced the Tour de Yorkshire once before with Team GB, but, riding it with the Team WIGGINS Le Col guys is a different thing. A good few of us have our roots here in Yorkshire, and to us, racing alongside World Tour guys in front of your friends and family is a dream. Looking towards the world champs, it’s also perfect preparation for that. I can’t wait to get out there and give them something to cheer about. - Tom Pidcock

Getting the chance to race in Yorkshire, of course it's a bit special. Every kid who loves bikes grows up riding their local roads like it’s some big pro race. Racing the Tour de Yorkshire, I get to do just that – it’s magic. The flip side though, racing the big names, it’s a big chance to make a name for yourself, so, that’s what we’ve got to go out there and do. – Gabz Cullaigh

For the lads, a spot to ride the Tour de Yorkshire is such a gift. It’s not often as developing U23 riders that you get the chance to race with the finished articles at World Tour level. It’s a solid bridge race for the team too – they’re on home turf at a race ahead of the worlds.

Big names will be there, and they’ve got a chance to learn from them, and maybe even give them a little dig - you can’t ask for more than that. - Sir Bradley Wiggins

Hearing the Team had made the grade for the Tour de Yorkshire was really positive. It reflects the talent and support out there for the WIGGINS Le Col guys, and presents a massive opportunity for them.

The guys know how to race, but it’s a step up again, and getting that chance to knock on the door of the World Tour is such a draw. It’s a big point of pride for me that we can be helping deliver that. - Yanto Barker - Founder

"Coming from the Southern Hemisphere into a Northern Hemisphere race calendar, I think the only real challenge is not doing too many races throughout December and January when it's peak racing season in NZ. If you manage that well then I think there are only benefits from living down here throughout the European winter. It makes it easy going out for training in sunny warm weather, especially since this is the time for base training with lots of kilometres."
