The Loop
Local lanes might not have the grandeur of alpine climbs, but they have something better: they’re yours. Every twist and turn, every patch of broken tarmac and ribbon of smooth, flowing road is familiar. You know where the gravel gathers after the rain, where the wind will hit hardest, and exactly which ramps will burn the legs if you push just a little too hard. These roads are a proving ground—testing form on segments, launching out of the saddle on short, sharp climbs, chasing the wheel of an unexpected ride buddy, or dropping a long-time nemesis when the moment arrives.
