With world-class sponsors, a dynamic, young roster and a passion to be the very best — BIKE Channel Canyon’s ambition is to become the dominant UCI Continental team in the UK, Europe and beyond. And we’re behind them every step of the way.

Founded in November 2016, the 15 strong all-British squad are based in the UK and managed by former Pedal Heaven Sports Director, Tim Elverson. With an average team age of just 24, there’s a wealth of superstar potential in the bunch — so we’re supporting the team with high quality custom kit in a bid to help them turn that potential into performance.

The team’s lead sprinter is Chris Opie, formerly a member of One Pro Cycling and the overall winner of the 2016 Ronde van Midden-Nederland. This year Opie quickly demonstrated that BIKE Channel Canyon meant business by sprinting to glory in the Perfs Pedal on his first outing in team colours.

The team’s invite to the 2017 Tour de Yorkshire came as a surprise to many in in the cycling world, but BCC repaid the faith that had been placed in them with an aggressive performance as they lit up the three-day race on their debut appearance. Team lead Opie was third on the opening stage behind World Tour stars Dylan Groenewegen and Caleb Ewan, while Harry Tanfield and Dexter Gardias clinched the most combative rider jersey for their efforts in the breakaways on stages two and three, respectively.

Here's what BIKE Channel Canyon's lead rider Chris Opie has to say about Le Col:

"Having raced in Le Col clothing for 5 seasons what I love most about it is that there is a garment for every weather I encounter whilst racing or training. Especially at times of the year when the weather is changeable and it's often too easy to over dress/ under dress. I find the Le Col items keep me at the right temperature for the training I'm doing.

I also really appreciate being able to talk to Yanto about the kit. I enjoy thinking about how I would adapt garments in little ways to to make them more effective or more comfortable for me personally!

And the chamois! You can't beat a good Le Col chamois!"

Of our partnership with BIKE Channel Canyon, Yanto says:

“BIKE Channel Canyon have stormed onto the race scene! The boys have a great attitude to racing, and with such a young team their performance potential is huge. I love that they’re focused in their ambition to become the best UCI continental team in the world. By supporting them with the best kit on the market, we’re dedicated to helping them get there.”

The team already have an avid army of supporters and are being admired for their positive approach to bike racing, both in and out of the saddle. After an impressive start to the season they are well on their way to a place in the 2017 Tour of Britain - so keep your eyes peeled for the lads on a TV screen near you soon.
