Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Product Developer with Garment Tech experience to join the Product team of a high-profile performance-based cycling brand. The right candidate will successfully manage a crucial part of the product development chain, and be an important part of a dynamic and fast-growing team based in London.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with Head of Product Development and manage the product development process from concept to bulk
- Manage the fabric development process from sourcing to bulk approval
- Co-ordinate and manage fabric testing
- Work to a fabric critical path and liaise daily with offshore fabric mills
- Support Head of Product Development in managing the sampling process (internal studio and external suppliers)
- Assist the Head of Product Development with fabric and trim purchasing for in-house sampling
- Check and prepare all samples for weekly fittings
- Manage the fit process from in-house toiles to production
- Manage techpacks, BOM, measurement and graded charts
- Serve as primary point of contact with manufacturers and all external suppliers
- Manage the product critical path (internal studio and external suppliers)
- Work closely with Head of Product Development on product pricing
- Ensure all products are delivered on time at the required quality
The Ideal Candidate
Candidate’s background
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Product Development within the Sport / performance industry
- Experience in fitting performance garments
- Good pattern cutting knowledge
- Experience in print design and fabric development
- Experience in managing critical path
- Experience working with in-house atelier and external sample rooms
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and MS Office applications
- Bachelor’s degree or related education in Fashion and Textiles
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
