TOP TIPS FROM OUR AMBASSADORS
What you capture on camera is a record of your ride. Scroll down to see some of our ambassadors who have perfected capturing themselves on camera and showed us inside their world of cycling wearing Le Col.
GARETH WINTER
“The fit, fabrics, stitching, grippers, straps and pad are world-class. We cyclists have high expectations, so thanks, Le Col, for helping me forget about discomfort and meeting my near-impossible-diva-standards.”
ALESSANDRO SALVAGGIO
"If you are riding solo you can position your camera elevated on the side of the road and set up a timer and a focus in correspondence of the position where you will be. Also, using an infrared or bluetooth remote can make a big difference and give you a lot of more flexibility on the shot."
PETER JAGERS
- LE COL BY WIGGINS WINNER
“Very pleased with it. I still can't believe I have won and got the complete kit."
ALESSANDRO SALVAGGIO
"Sweepy roads are my favourite since they add a lot of movement to the composition. If you are riding on a switchback ask a friend to go ahead and wait for you to pass. Ask them to stay a little bit on the outside bank of the road or on a stretch where they have a wider perspective and view."
BETHANY GIBLIN
“Tell a story. My Instagram page is centred around my cycling journey, so every shot I take aims to invite my followers along this journey with me. Once you frame your shot with a story in mind, the rest will come together.”
“Get a friend to take the photo for you. I recently bought a bar bag which allows me to carry my camera. When riding with other people, I’ll ask them to take the picture for me as they’re able to make framing and focus adjustments that will improve the shot.”
GARATH WINTER
“Light creates beautiful imagery. Shadows and highlights create shapes and reveal more depth. Morning and evening light is made more beautiful by the shadows. Whether it's the shadow of a rider drawn on a road, catching a lens flare from the sun as you photograph a silhouette, mountains and architecture gain gravitas.”
