Our ultimate bib shorts for comfort, luxury and performance

Designed with one purpose in mind, to be the most comfortable performance Bib shorts available. Our Hors Categorie shorts have been designed from thousands of hours in the saddle and incorporate all our road testing and innovation.

Our HC Bibs use the top of the range Italian 220g Lycra so the shorts feel luxuriously rich whilst technically performing in a wide range of temperatures and conditions. The HC range uses our top of the range luxury Dolomiti Gel chamois pad, providing that extra support to get you through the ride in maximum comfort with minimum irritation. A special thread and stitch shape down the outside edges of the pad reduces rubbing to an absolute minimum.

The ergonomic design of the panelling & seam shape ensures the bibs fit to the shape of the rider in the riding position. The specially designed laser cut bib straps hold the shorts in place without cutting into the shoulders, while the shorts themselves feature an innovative silicon gummy gripper design that runs along the entire length of the leg, ensuring a perfect fit with our trademark Le Col leg gripper at the hem.

In addition, the seams have been flat locked to eliminate irritation and the logos are embroidered to last the lifetime of the product. This HC Bib Short is our Ultimate Bib Short for comfort, luxury and performance. Suitable for the widest range of rides.

Great Quality Bib Shorts!

Got these in a Medium (Waist size between a 30-32, 6'3", 165lbs / 74kg) and they fit really well. Legs aren't too tight, I've found with some shorts I have to really stretch and pull to get the fit right. These fit snugly without a ton of adjustment, just jump in and go ride.

Chamoix is really comfortable, seemingly a lot of material compared to my Bontrager Velocis shorts, but not uncomfortably so. I do a quick warmup and make any adjustments before heading out on my ride.

Straps are on the looser side which I prefer, don't leave marks on my back and shoulders, but don't rub or chafe.

I agree with some of the other reviewers' comments that these shorts are slippery on the saddle, I have a fizik arione saddle and I can do a whole lot of shimmying and shaking when I first get onto the bike, but after a while I don't notice it and stop sliding around. I guess I would rather have the ability to slide easily than have the shorts stick to the saddle and have my butt slide around in the shorts, but can definitely see how it would annoy some people.

Good, not amazing

Very comfortable, wore them for 90 miles of hills on first ride. Great fit, look the business but they are too slippery on the saddle on the hills. It's a Shane but given the cost I have to knock a star off. It was for this reason I reverted back to Rapha for the dragon ride last wekend
I wanted to move away from Rapha or at least find a comparable alternative, sadly this is more expensive and not as good for me.

Definitely the best pair of shorts I have ever bought. Perfect fit and amazing comfort. Just have to make sure I wash them after every ride so I can wear them next time!

HC Bib Shorts Nero/Nero

Excellent quality fabrics and construction as ever by Le Col. Superb chamois, Sizing is as per their size chart.

Quality bibs

These are very good quality bib shorts. There are a really good fit, (I take a large in most makes and these fit perfectly), I can understand what people say about the straps being loose but for me they are really good; I'm 6'3" 82Kg. The straps are easy to pull on and the leg grippers stay in place, they have a nice second skin feel and the Chamois is very comfortable. I've ridden them on 3 rides so far. I would buy them again, in my experience you shouldn't skimp on bib shorts.
